The
Alaska Machine Gun Association (AMGA), established in 1999, is
an organization comprised of enthusiasts and
collectors of Title II firearms and related items governed by the National
Firearms Act (NFA) of 1934 and the Gun Control Act of 1968. This includes machineguns, sound
suppressors, short-barreled shotguns & rifles, stocked pistols and any other weapons
(AOW)
regulated by the BATF. Our organization is dedicated to the education of
the history, legal ownership, safety and current legislation regarding
these exotic firearms. Our membership is comprised of law-abiding
citizens and professionals with one common interest;
enjoyable recreational use of NFA firearms. Among our members are police officers, attorneys,
assemblymen and even a state legislator. Anchorage
Area Chapter: The
AMGA meets on the last Wednesday of each month at the Pizza Man
restaurant in Eagle River (adjacent to Johnson Tire) and begins at 7PM. (You might want to
come earlier if you plan eating dinner too.) Fairbanks
Area Chapter:
For info on Fairbanks area meeting times and events, contact Fairbanks AMGA Chapter: AMGA.FBNKS@amga.net NOTE:
If you are bringing NFA or other items for "Show &
Tell" at the meeting, PLEASE ensure they are cased or boxed. We
think you will find the members of the AMGA to be among the friendliest
folks you will meet. (Membership
