Membership

 

The Alaska Machine Gun Association is an exclusive organization. You are warmly invited to become a member which offers you the following benefits:

  • A reduced rates on events and AMGA products

  • Participation in group ammo and other buys

  • Participation in AMGA gun show exhibits

  • Inclusion on the AMGA email list, participation in AMGA sanctioned events

  • A voice in association policies and elections

  • An AMGA membership ID card

  • Great comraderie and the ability to gain enhanced knowledge of historical military firearms with a great group of folks!

  • Group liability coverage during AMGA sponsored events

 

There IS, however, some necessary criteria, listed below:

  • You must be at least 21 years of age

  • Have no felony convictions or other criminal record that would preclude possession of firearms, ammunition, or other NFA items,  as demonstrated by one of the following:

  • Possession of a current Alaska Concealed Handgun permit

  • A Federal Firearms License (FFL)

  • An approved ATF Form 4 

  • Current active duty, reserve, or National guard military ID card

  • Current Law Enforcement, Fire dept, or other Gov't position requiring a background check as a condition of employment

  • Current State of Alaska licensee, or federally issued certification requiring a background check as condition of issue.

  • In lieu of the above, personal recommendation of an AMGA member in good standing, and a receipt of recent firearms purchase requiring a NICS check with your name on it,  and signed by the seller, shall suffice.

 

Ownership of an NFA firearm is NOT a 

requirement to become an AMGA club member

 

 Membership dues: 

$40 annually

AMGA monthly membership meetings are open to the public.  If you'd like to join us and see what we're about,  we'd love to have you.  Monthly meetings are held in  the Anchorage and Fairbanks areas.
